The offshore drilling company Borr Drilling Limited on March 24, 2021, said that it has entered into agreements potentially adding a total of USD 48 million over approximately 590 days to the backlog. Borr’s jackup rig Gunnlod has secured an extension from PTTEP for eight additional wells in Malaysia, which is expected to keep the rig operating up to September 2021. The rig has one further optional period still to be confirmed which could keep the rig active for the remainder of the year. The estimated dayrate of the rig for the contract is US $ 75, 000.
Borr Drilling on August 4, 2020, said that it entered into a contract and letters of
intent for the three rigs, adding $21 million to the total backlog. The company added that it had “good prospects for additional backlog on these units“. Offshore drilling rig owner Borr Drilling has won deals for three of its warm-stacked jack-up drilling rigs. The company claims increased activity levels.

According to its fleet status update, Borr Drilling turned LOA of the jack-up rig Gunnlod rig with Thailand’s PTTEP to around six-month contract. Rig will be deployed in Malaysia. Borr Drilling signed contract from LOA for the rig Gunnlod that would start from Sept 2020 to run until March 2021, for operator PTTEP the petroleum exploration and production company based in Thailand. Rig has extension options.
