Offshore drilling company Borr Drilling Limited said on March 24, 2021, that it has entered into agreements potentially adding a total of USD 48 million over approximately 590 days to the backlog. The previously announced LOI for the rig Prospector 1 has been converted into a contact for four wells plus options for operations with Neptune. In addition, the Prospector 1 has secured a three-well plus option contract with Tulip for operations in the Netherlands. As a result, the Prospector 1 will be fully utilised in 2021 on the Dutch Continental Shelf with its emission reducing SCR system, and the Company sees good opportunities for keeping the rig working into the third quarter of 2022 if all options are exercised.
In its latest fleet update on Jan 11, 2021, Borr Drilling has revealed that jackup Prospector-1 has had its current contract with ONE-Dyas extended by one well keeping it busy until March 2021. The rig has also been awarded a new four-well deal with an undisclosed operator in the North Sea that will begin in April and last until October 2021.
Borr Drilling's fleet status update on August 3, 2020, shows that the letter of intent have been signed for the Prospector 1 Jack-up rig with undisclosed clients for United Kingdom. The Prospector 1 should start its contract in October 2020, running until January 2021 for duration of about three months i.e., 92 days.
