Lone Star is an ultra-deepwater DP semi-submersible drilling rig that started its operations in April 2011. The rig is capable of drilling in water depths of up to 7,900 feet and has a drilling depth capacity of up to 30,000 feet.
On July 22, 2019, Constellation Oil Services Holding S.A. ("Constellation" or the "Company") the Brazilian offshore drilling

announced that three of the Company's ultra-deepwater (UDW) rigs, Alpha Star , Gold Star, and Lone Star, have been awarded new firm contracts with Petrobras S.A. ("Petrobras") for two years each. The drilling activities will be performed offshore of Brazil and operations under each contract is expected to commence by January 2020. The estimated dayrate to be around $155,000 for each contract.

Securing these three contracts, together with the recently announced contract for Laguna Star on a two-year deal, is a remarkable achievement for the Company. Petrobras is a key player in the Brazilian market and this reinforces the long-standing partnership the companies have built over the years. In addition, with Brava Star and Olinda Star rigs are also under contract, a substantial majority of Company’s fleet is currently under contract.

Constellation is a market leading provider of offshore and onshore oil and gas contract drilling and FPSO services in Brazil through its subsidiary Serviços de Petróleo Constellation S.A. ("Serviços de Petróleo Constellation"). With continuous operations since 1981, Serviços de Petróleo Constellation has built an unmatched reputation for excellence in offshore and onshore drilling services, obtaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and API Spec Q2 certifications for its quality management, environmental and safety records and systems.

The Gold Star (DSS 38) semi-submersible drilling rig is a cost effective drilling unit designed with drilling equipment suitable for drilling well, work over (completion and intervention), exploration drilling as well as development drilling. It embodies the collective past

experience of new builds and conversions of semi-submersible units, which results in a rig, which is optimized for offshore operations, environmental protection and safety aspects. Distinguishing this rig is the high level of environmental protection built into the operational case.

The Gold Star is environmentally friendly, designed for maximum uptime while minimizing emissions and discharge. Crew requirement is optimized on the drill floor as the rig is outfitted with automated pipe feed and stabbing as well as pipe-handling functions.

The Gold Star (DSS 38) and equipment have been designed for environmental conditions of the Gulf of Mexico, West Africa, South East Asia, Brazil and similar environmental conditions up to 9,000 ft. water depth and can drill up to 30,000 ft. from RKB with a variable drilling load of up to 9,622 ton (10,606 sh ton). Special consideration for the Santos and Campos Basin Environmental Conditions is taken into account in the design to warrant adequate and satisfactory operations in the Santos and Campos Basin offshore Brazil.

The hull structural steel material has been designed for ambient temperature of -10°C. Maximum ambient temperature has been established at 40 °C. Seawater

temperature shall be based on 0° to 32 °C. The DSS 38 drilling semi-submersible is designed.

The vessel is designed to keep station with eight (8) azimuth thrusters utilizing a dynamic positioning system to meet ABS Class requirements for DPS2 and Petrobras specification. The DP-system have been designed to keep the vessel on location according to the Campos Basin 1-year environmental conditions with the riser connected and under drilling operations.
